Resident Evil 2 pits players against a seemingly never ending horde of flesh eating ghouls. The game takes place (like others in the franchise), in Raccoon City; primarily within the confines of the police station. Players of the original game will have their nostalgia itch scratched while still getting to experience something brand new and fresh. Players who have never played the original game will still be able to enjoy this game without feeling like they are missing part of the story.
- Beautifully remastered. The game has been remade using modern gaming technology. Everything is rendered amazingly and looks phenomenal! Every hair, pool of blood and drop of sweat has never looked better. The shadows and glare of lights adds a very gloomy and dark feel helping set the creepy mood for the world around the player.
- Voice acting. The voice acting in the game is well done and believable. This helps the player care about the characters that they are controlling as well as the NPC’s throughout the game.
- Costumes. Yes, for a few extra dollars players can add a few extra costumes. While normally I would count DLC as a Con, in this case it helps add to the experience. If players choose to play in the Noir costume, the game will be played in black and white. This, in my opinion gives the game more of a creepy feel.
- Scary. Speaking of that creepy feel, this game is both scary and surprising. There is just enough different from the original to make everything feel new and each corner feel like a potential game over.
This remake of the classic survival horror game Resident Evil 2 uses today’s gaming technology to give a fresh new look to an already amazing game.
I Rate this game 100 out of 100
