Hello and welcome to Jay’s Game Reviews! Today I am reviewing REMIMORY‘s Indie puzzle platformer Color Symphony.

color 1Color Symphony is a unique and fun puzzle platformer that gives players control of the color spectrum. Players can alter the background color of the level making enemies and spikes disappear as well as making platforms and exit doors appear. It is not an overly complex system and can be learned and mastered relatively fast. Each stage has puzzles that get progressively more difficult as you progress keeping the game fresh and interesting as you play.

  • color 2Challenging. The came offers players unique challenges that are solved by altering the background color of the stage to make objects appear or disappear. this was a fun and interesting gaming mechanic that I found quite enjoyable.
  • Pricing. Just like last weeks game, this week I am bringing you a free game that you can pick up right now. There is a $9.99 sequel that you can pick up if you enjoyed the first one and would like to see what else is offered too.

  • Controls don’t always respond. It could have just been user error, but many times when I pressed the buttons that were needed to solve the puzzle, nothing happened.
  • Music volume. I was distracted by the music more than the enemies and even after lowering the music in came and lowering the games volume to 1 in my audio mixer, it was still way too loud.

I found Color Symphony to be a lot of fun with enough challenge to not become boring or stale. It was a nice change of pace from the type of game that I typically play, and it was good to see such a fine product from this lesser known gaming studio. I recommend the game, and as it is free on Steam, I suggest you at least try it out for yourself.

Does this weeks game sound interesting to you? You can pick up Color Symphony on Steam for free today!

I Rate this game 90 out of 100
